If you can serve or support this ministry then please call me at the York County In Christ, Gene Chisholm                  Ministry History In 1949, Dr Elton Trueblood, founder of the Yokefellow Movement, was struck with unique force as he read the passage in Matthew 11:25-30..."Take my yoke upon you." He saw that this is Christ's clearest call to commitment. Being yoked to Christ means becoming a participant rather than a spectator; and accepting a discipline. It leads to fellowship, because the yokes which we know best cannot be worn alone. The Yokefellow Movement developed through small groups, a Yokefellow Conference, and a quarterly Yokefellow Letter. In 1995 the Yokefellow Institute was established. Since then, many Yokefellow Councils have developed. These Councils operate independently but are affiliated with the Yokefellows International. The York County Council of Churches has served in prison ministry since its beginning in 1951. Yokefellow Prison Ministry was established in York in 1982 under the umbrella of the YCCC and has helped countless persons during their time of need.
Yokefellow Prison Ministry is a Non-Profit organization which offers services to              Yokefellow Wish List
